A North Carolina Lawyer
Parisa Houshmandpour is a criminal defense attorney in North Carolina, representing individuals accused of a crime. She graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she majored in criminology and minored in anthropology. Ms. Houshmandpour then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the Elon University School of Law, also in Greensboro.
While a law student, Ms. Houshmandpour interned at the District Attorney's office in Guilford County. She was exposed to the process of developing the prosecution's side of a criminal case and gained invaluable experience in identifying and understanding both strengths and weaknesses in the state's case against an individual. Now a defense lawyer, Ms. Houshmandpour uses that insight when building a criminal defense strategy and when assessing the likelihood of achieving dismissal, a reduction in charges or an acquittal at trial. After being licensed, Ms. Houshmandpour gained tremendous experience in defending the accused by working at different criminal defense firms, fixing challenging situations under difficult circumstances.
Attorney Houshmandpour is passionate about defending those accused of a crime in North Carolina. She understands that there are at least two sides to every story and that the one told by the prosecutor rarely fully describes a situation that may have led to criminal charges. She takes the time to listen to each of her clients, working to fully understand each person's unique situation before building an effective defense strategy.
When retained as a criminal defense attorney early in the process, Ms. Houshmandpour offers legal representation during an investigation, an arrest, the preliminary hearing and bonding out of jail in addition to negotiation and trial. At all times, she works to protect the rights of her clients that are guaranteed by the U.S Constitution and the laws of North Carolina.
Ms. Houshmandpour has found that success as a criminal defense attorney requires a thorough analysis of all facts, evidence, police records and eye witness accounts. Her commitment to her clients is visible in her tireless pursuit of the best defense strategy and the best possible outcome given the facts at hand. Her work ethic, empathy and devotion is appreciated by clients and recognized by colleagues.
"Ms. Houshmandpour cared about our case and that she had a true commitment in assisting us on a very delicate and urgent matter. We are extremely grateful for her promptness in resolving our matter and the dedication she demonstrated to us towards her career as a caring lawyer." – Review from a former client as posted on Avvo.
